Art has always been my passion, starting from childhood and continuing throughout my life. After studying visual arts and working as a graphic designer, I found my true calling in teaching art to students in public schools since 2013. Now, in 2024, alongside my teaching role, I'm thrilled to introduce BrushBugs.com, an art program tailored for after-school sessions and school breaks. It's an opportunity for students to explore and express themselves artistically in a studio setting.

I'm highly hands-on, employing a wide array of mediums including clay, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, construction paper, and recycled materials in my teaching. My belief in the uniqueness of each student's expressive abilities drives me to provide them with diverse opportunities to explore their preferred forms of artistic expression. My focus lies on the artistic process, where I foster creativity and problem-solving skills without instilling fear of mistakes. This approach results in elevated self-worth as artists and the confidence to keep creating art.
As an artist, my inspiration predominantly comes from observing how light shapes color, form, and texture, as well as the visual simplicity found in well-crafted designs. As an art educator, I'm fascinated by discovering what inspires each of my students. I often find that I learn just as much from them as they do from me! I feel fortunate to have found my true calling in teaching art to children.
